Head of ESPN India Television Initiatives
Jasdeep Pannu is the Head of ESPN India Television Initiatives. Since joining ESPN in August 2016, Pannu has been working closely with Ramesh Kumar VP& Head of ESPN India/South East Asia. Working on various initiatives to further grow ESPN’s television business in India including ESPN’s collaboration with Sony. Through the ESPN Sony media platforms, Pannu will work to bring Indian sports fans high quality sports and sports programming.
Prior to this role, Pannu was EVP and Head of Content for AETN 18 networks, including The History Channel. Bringing a diverse background and experience to his role at ESPN, Pannu has lead content and defined brands for entertainment networks for almost twenty years. Some of these networks and roles include SVP, Programming with Star Sports where he worked with ESPN India from 2013 – 2014 and from 2008 – 2013 he was SVP and Head of Programming with Sony MAX where he was instrumental in their IPL coverage plans.
Pannu started his career with NDTV television in 1997 after graduating from Jamia University in New Delhi where he earned both a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Arts in Film and Television.
Pannu reports directly to Ramesh Kumar and is based in ESPN’s Mumbai office.
