ESPN Caribbean continues its exclusive live coverage of all matches of the ICC World Twenty20 Championshipfrom Sri Lanka, including all three West Indies Super Eights on Sept. 27, 29 and Oct. 1. In addition, ESPN Caribbean will provide exclusive live telecasts of the ICC Women’s World Twenty 20 Semifinals and Final on October 4, 5 and 7.

The West Indies live Super Eight telecasts are vs. England on Sept. 27 and Sri Lanka on Sept. 29, both at 9:45 a.m. and repeated at 8:00 p.m.; and vs. New Zealand on Oct. 1 at 5:45 a.m. and repeated at 3:00 p.m. (all times Eastern).

The West Indies confirmed their place in the Super Eights following a severely rain-affected match against Ireland in Colombo.  After winning the toss, the West Indies disposed of Ireland captain William Porterfield with the first ball, which set the tone for a dominant performance.  A combination of rain delays, quality spin—including Chris Gayle’s two wickets–and good captaincy ensured the West Indies’ progression.

Captain Merissa Aguillera and Vice-Captain Stafanie Taylor, the leading all-rounder in women’s cricket, anchor a competitive West Indies women’s side.  Several of the world’s top players also are on the team: off-spinner Anisa Mohammed, left-handed all-rounder Shanel Daley, world record-holder Deandra Dottin, and fast bowler Shakera Selman.

Studio Shows and Match Commentators

Complementing the match telecasts, ESPN Caribbean and ESPNPlay.com are presenting two live daily studio programs:  ICC World Twenty20 Today, airing generally at 9 a.m. ET, and ICC World Twenty20 Daily Recap, airing after the last match of the day and repeated at 11 p.m.  In addition, ESPN Caribbean is repeating every ICC World Twenty20 Championship match in the afternoon or evening.

Renowned International fast bowler Courtney “Cuddy” Walsh will serve as a second studio analyst for the Super Eights and beyond. Mike Haysman, considered one of the world’s leading cricket broadcasters, is serving as host of ICC World Twenty20 Today and ICC World Twenty20 Daily Recap.  Ricardo Powell, the Trinidad & Tobago native who represented the West Indies cricket team with a career total of 109 ODIs and two Test matches, is joining Haysman on air.

The match commentators include Kevin Pietersen, former England batsman and “Player of the Series” in the 2010 ICC World Twenty20; Ian Bishop, former West Indies fast bowler; Rahul Dravid, former India captain, batsman and second-highest runs-scorer in Test cricket; and Sourav Ganguly, former India captain and batsman.
