ESPN’s ‘Lunch with Legends’ Experts Predict the Winner
ESPN Caribbean will air exclusive coverage of the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup Final this Saturday at 11.00 pm ET from Melbourne as co-hosts Australia and New Zealand duke it out for the title. The title decider will also be streamed live on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.
ESPNcricinfo Match Point, ESPN’s flagship cricket studio programme airing live on location from Sydney, will provide further previews and in-depth analysis of the Final via pre-, post- and mid-innings segments. ESPNcricinfo Match Point is hosted by former England Women’s international, Isa Guha, with renowned Windies pacer Michael Holding, former India seamer Ajit Agarkar and ex-New Zealand skipper Martin Crowe.
ESPN’s cricket experts also offered their predictions today from Sydney during ESPN’s “Lunch With Legends” roundtable discussion.
Picking New Zealand
Michael Holding: “I can’t predict who’s going to win but I can tell you what I’m hoping for. I’m hoping for a New Zealand victory because of Martin Crowe and the fact that he’s so closely associated with the team. I’m hoping for his sake that New Zealand win!”
Picking Australia
Rahul Dravid: “I think the two best teams in the tournament have qualified. I just have to say I favour Australia slightly because I think that New Zealand has not played in Australian conditions. They’ve played on small grounds. Melbourne will be different from what they’ve experienced in New Zealand. I just feel that Australia have the depth and better balance for the conditions they will encounter in Melbourne.”
