Elite 50-Over Competition Features West Indian One-Day Franchise Superstar

ESPN Caribbean will present live, exclusive action from nine matches in the prestigious One Day International (ODI) tournament, the NAGICO Super50, from January 7 to 23 at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad. The matches will air from 12:30 p.m. (ET) on the ESPN Caribbean network as well as on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service. One-hour highlights also air on the ESPN Caribbean and ESPN2 Caribbean networks.

ESPN’s coverage of this day/night competition is in the second year of a four-year deal with the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), running until 2018. Defending champions, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, winners on home soil last year and boasting new skipper Jason Mohammed, will head Zone A along with 2014 winners, Barbados Pride, the Jamaica Scorpions and guests, I.C.C. Americas. Zone B will be played in St. Kitts and Nevis and consists of last year’s beaten finalist, Guyana Jaguars, Combined Campuses and Colleges (C.C.C.) Marooners, Leeward Islands Hurricanes as well as hosts, Windward Islands Volcanoes.

The top two teams will advance from each Zone into the Semi-Finals on January 20 and 21, with the Finals on January 23. This tournament serves as a prelude to the Windies’ trip to India for the International Cricket Council (I.C.C.) World Twenty20 in March 2016.
