ESPN Caribbean Presents the 2016-2017 NBA Season

    • More than 125 Regular-Season Games Start Wednesday, October 26, at 8 p.m. ET
    • Up to 20 games in the First Round, 12 in the Conference Semi-Final Round, the Western Conference Finals and NBA Finals

      •  Five Christmas Day games, with the marquee matchup of the day being a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals between Cleveland and Golden State
      •  NBA All-Star Weekend (includes Friday’s Celebrity game and Rising Stars Challenge, All-Star Saturday and the All-Star Game
      •  News and Analysis on SportsCenter, ESPN.com and Social Media

ESPN Caribbean presents the 2016-2017 NBA telecast schedule with the most expanded coverage to date, including exclusive coverage of more than 125 regular-season games, the Playoffs and NBA Finals.  NBA doubleheaders are on Wednesday and Friday nights, followed by a primetime game on Saturdays.  Games will air on ESPN Caribbean, ESPN2 Caribbean and ESPN Play.  ESPN Caribbean will also air 36 episodes of NBA Action every Thursday from October through June. Each half-hour show, produced by NBA Entertainment, provides unique content and league highlights of the past week’s action and top-ranked teams, games and players.

SportsCenter will provide the most comprehensive news and information to Caribbean viewers throughout the 2016-2017 season. Additional information will be available on www.espncaribbean.com, and social media accounts: Facebook (ESPNFans) and Twitter (@ESPN_Caribbean).

Key storylines for West Indian fans include:

        • New Golden State Warrior Kevin Durant hosting former Oklahoma City teammate Russell Westbrook
        • Dwayne Wade’s first official appearance as a Chicago Bull
        • Jamaica’s just -signed center Vashil Fernandez debuting for the Miami Heat

Coverage begins with a doubleheader on Wednesday, October 26, when the Oklahoma City Thunder and Russell Westbrook visit the Philadelphia 76ers and the number-one 2016 NBA Draft selection Ben Simmons at 8 p.m. ET. At 10:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Lakers begin their new era as they host the Houston Rockets and James Harden. On Friday, October 28, the defending NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James will visit the Toronto Raptors and Kyle Lowry in an Eastern Conference Finals rematch at 7 p.m. At 9:30 p.m., the reloaded Golden State Warriors and Kevin Durant will visit the New Orleans Pelicans and Anthony Davis.


This season’s NBA Five-Game Christmas Day Special, exclusively on ESPN, includes the anticipated match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors at 2:30 p.m. ET. Next year, the All-Star game returns to New Orleans, LA, during the world-famous Mardi Gras. The network will broadcast the marquee event, including the Celebrity Game and BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on February 17, 2017; the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on February 18, 217; and the 66th NBA All-Star Game on February 19, 2017.
