ESPN Caribbean Presents Exclusive Coverage of the 2017 Australian Open

ESPN Caribbean will televise over 110 hours of LIVE HD coverage of the 2017 Australian Open  starting Sunday, January 15th at 7pm ET with early-round coverage, and continuing through the women’s championship on Saturday, January 28th, & the men’s championship on Sunday, January 29th.

The network coverage will showcase the biggest names in tennis including current titleholders: six-time champion Novak Djokovic and world No.1 Angelique Kerber.  New ATP No. 1 Andy Murray, Milos Raonic, Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska, among other top seeds to be featured.  The event marks the return to action after long breaks for injury recuperation for Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

ESPN Caribbean will also televise daily recaps at 3 p.m. and ESPN Play will have wall-to-wall coverage, streaming over 1,400 LIVE hours from every available televised court, including the men’s & women’s quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

ESPN has presented coverage of the Australian Open in the Caribbean since 2007 and recently announced an exclusive contract extension with Tennis Australia last year for live television and digital rights through 2021 in a five-year agreement.  As part of the new extension, ESPN also has exclusive rights to the Australian Open qualifiers and the Australian Open Series lead-up events: Brisbane International, Hopman Cup, APIA International Sydney and World Tennis Challenge.
