West Indies Aim For Debut Title

ESPN Caribbean presents exclusive coverage of the prestigious 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup, bowling off June 24 from England. 12 key matches from the One Day competition will air live on the ESPN Caribbean and ESPN2 Caribbean television networks, including all West Indies fixtures. All 31 matches can also be streamed live via ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.

West Indies will be led by top-ranked all-rounder, Stafanie Taylor, in their quest for their first-ever World Cup trophy after finishing second in the last edition to six-time holders, Australia. Both teams will be joined by the hosts, England, who are seeking a fourth title, as well as 2000 champs, New Zealand. All teams will face each other once in a round-robin tournament with India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and South Africa rounding out the pool. Matches will occur across venues in London, Derby, Bristol, Leicester and Taunton.

The top four teams will advance to the semis from July 18. Both winners will then face each other in the final on July 23 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London to be crowned champions of the tournament’s 11th edition. Follow all the action at #WWC17 as ESPN Caribbean continues to connect the region’s fans with the sports they love.
