ESPN Caribbean presents the 2018-2019 NBA telecast schedule including full coverage of more than 125 regular-season games, the Playoffs and NBA Finals. Games will take place every Wednesday and Friday, including doubleheaders when available, as well as a weekly Saturday game and occasional Sunday games throughout the regular season. Games will air on ESPN Caribbean, ESPN2 Caribbean and stream live on ESPN Play.
ESPN Caribbean also will air 36 episodes of NBA Action weekly from October to June. Each half-hour show features unique content, league highlights of the prior week’s action and top-ranked teams, games and players. SportsCenter will provide the most comprehensive news and information to Caribbean viewers throughout the 2018-2019 season.
Key storylines:
- LeBron James makes his Los Angeles Lakers debut
- Former New Orleans Pelican DeMarcus Cousins returns this season playing for the Golden State Warriors
- Following the biggest trade of the NBA offseason, Kawhi Leonard debuts on the Toronto Raptors
- Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving return to the Boston Celtics after injuries last season
Coverage begins with two doubleheaders: one on Wednesday, October 17 and the other on Friday, October 19. On October 17, the Houston Rockets host the New Orleans Pelicans and Anthony Davis, with coverage starting at 8 p.m. ET and at 10:35 p.m. ET, the Phoenix Suns host the Dallas Mavericks. On October 19, Kyle Lowry and the Toronto Raptors host Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics at 8:15 p.m. ET, and at 10:35 p.m. ET, the defending NBA Champions Golden State Warriors will travel to Utah to face the Jazz and Donovan Mitchell.
This season’s NBA five-game Christmas Day Special, exclusively on ESPN, includes a match between the Los Angeles Lakers and defending champions, the Golden State Warriors at 8 p.m. ET.
ESPN Caribbean will also air all four games slated for the NBA All–Star 2019 Weekend from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina between February 15 and 17. The line-up includes the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, the NBA Rising Stars Challenge, the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night and the 68th NBA All-Star Game.
