ESPN Caribbean continues its exclusive coverage of the 13th edition of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, the world’s most prestigious One-Day International (ODI) competition for youth cricketers. The knockouts continue LIVE from South Africa and will be broadcast via the ESPN2 Caribbean television network, as well as on ESPN Play (www.espnplay.com) — ESPN’s multiscreen live and on-demand broadband service.

Current title holders, India, will bowl off the first semi-final on Feb. 4 at Potchefstroom, with the winner of the quarters between Afghanistan and Pakistan on Friday morning as their opponents. The Indians have the most titles under their belt with four trophies while Pakistan have two crowns. India will be considered the tournament favourites, with the competition’s second-best batsman, Yashasvi Jaiswal, in their ranks. He’s amassed 207 runs, with Ravi Bishnoi second on the wickets-charts, alongside Afghanistan’s Shafiqullah Ghafari.

Bangladesh will take on the host team on Thursday morning in the other quarter-final for a chance to meet New Zealand, who just edged out the West Indies by two wickets. South Africa have one title and will be considered the favourites to face the Kiwis in this semi on Feb. 6 at Potchefstroom also. The hosts, affectionately known as the Proteas, have the tournament’s highest run-scorer in Bryce Parsons (245 runs) with New Zealand’s Rhys Mariu third on 205 runs.

The third-place playoff takes place at Benoni on Feb. 8 while the Grand Final returns to Potchefstroom a day later. All matches will start at 2.45 a.m. EST. Follow all the action at #ESPNU19 as ESPN continues to keep the region’s fans connected to the sports they love.
