This year’s Roland Garros is being played from May 22 to June 5. ESPN is offering its Caribbean fans coverage with all the options to experience the best tennis in the world. ESPN screens will have more than 150 hours of coverage and up to 14 courts simultaneously on ESPN Play.
The world tennis elite has a luxury date in the French capital for two weeks. All the attention will be focused on the ESPN screens to experience the second Grand Slam of the season at the legendary Parisian venue, which will have competitions for men, women, doubles, mixed, adapted tennis, legends and juniors.
In the women’s draw, Iga Swiatek stands out. She arrives at Roland Garros with a streak of 28 wins in a row and therefore as the top favorite. Champion in 2021, the Pole is pursuing her second title and reach the historical record of 35 wins in a row currently held by Venus Williams.
In the men’s draw, there are many favorites: Novak Djokovic (1st) will seek his third win in France and after winning on clay in Rome, he has a firm claim. Paris is synonymous with Rafael Nadal (5th) and the Spaniard should never be ruled out, despite not being in the best physical shape, his 13 titles here endorse him. The young promise Carlos Alcaraz (6th) comes from consecutively defeating all the best players to win his Madrid title and giving him optimal conditions to give win big. Finally, there are Stefanos Tsitsipas (4th, conquered Monte-Carlo) and Alexander Zverev (3rd, without titles but with good performances on brick).
