ESPN to Present Coverage of Inaugural 12-Team College Football Playoff Across the Caribbean
Expanded Playoff Begins with First-Ever CFP First Round Game: No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Notre Dame on Friday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. ET All Games Available on ESPN and Streaming on ESPN via Disney+

ESPN will present live coverage of the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, beginning Friday, Dec. 20. All games will air live across the Caribbean on ESPN and will also be available for streaming via ESPN on Disney+.
The expanded playoff kicks off with the first-ever CFP First Round matchup, featuring No. 10 Indiana at No. 7 Notre Dame at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, on Friday, Dec. 20, at 8 p.m. ET. The CFP First Round continues on Saturday, Dec. 21, with three additional matchups: No. 11 SMU at No. 6 Penn State at 12:00 p.m. ET, No. 12 Clemson at No. 5 Texas at 4:00 p.m. ET, and No. 9 Tennessee at No. 8 Ohio State at 8:00 p.m. ET. Following the first-round action, ESPN will deliver comprehensive coverage of the four Playoff Quarterfinals, the two Playoff Semifinals, and the 2025 CFP National Championship, which will take place on Monday, Jan. 20, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. This year’s expansion a historic shift for the College Football Playoff, growing from four teams to 12. Under the new format, the four highest-ranking conference champions will be seeded 1-4 and receive first-round byes. The CFP first round will consist of four games played at home campus venues, with teams seeded 5-8 hosting teams seeded 9-12.
