Big Offseason Moves Making Headlines in 2025:

  • Juan Soto made headlines by leaving the Bronx for Queens, signing a record-breaking $765 million deal with the New York Mets, turning them into contenders alongside Francisco Lindor.
  • The Los Angeles Dodgers dominated the offseason again, signing Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million deal and landing Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki. The two join a loaded rotation that already includes Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tyler Glasnow, Walker Buehler and Shohei Ohtani.
  • Alex Bregman left the Astros for the Boston Red Sox, agreeing to a three-year, $120 million contract that gives Boston a proven bat and clubhouse leader as they reshape their infield.
  • Matt Chapman signed late with the Chicago Cubs, and Cody Bellinger returned to the Cubs on a shorter-term deal. Both inked contracts after spring training had already begun, giving Chicago a strong defensive and offensive boost ahead of Opening Day.
