The 2025 Stanley Cup Finals begins Wednesday, June 4, at 8 p.m. ET, live from the Rogers Place Arena in Edmonton, Alberta, featuring the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers in a highly anticipated rematch of last year’s championship series. Fans across the Caribbean can catch the action live on ESPN and ESPN on Disney+, with comprehensive coverage throughout the series.
The Panthers advanced to their third consecutive Stanley Cup Finals after a dominant postseason performance, led by Sam Reinhart (81 points during the regular season) and goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. They aim to become the first team to win back-to-back Stanley Cup titles since Tampa Bay Lightning in 2019–20 and 2020–21. This also marks the sixth consecutive year a Florida team has reached the Final.
The Oilers return to the Finals for the second year in a row, driven by captain Connor McDavid’s pursuit of his first Stanley Cup victory. A win would make them the first Canadian team to capture the Cup since Montreal in 1993.
This marks the second consecutive Finals matchup between the Panthers and Oilers, with Florida having secured their first Stanley Cup title in 2024. Florida, coached by Paul Maurice and led by captain Aleksander Barkov, won their first Cup in 2024 and now aim to defend their title. The Oilers, guided by head coach Kris Knoblauch and captain Connor McDavid, seek their first Stanley Cup after more than three decades.
