Digital and Mobile Platforms


Nokia and ESPN today announced that ESPN Goals, the comprehensive mobile football service delivering live video, scores and news – is launching as an App in Nokia’s Ovi store.  The app will be available to potentially millions of new football fans on a wide range of Nokia handsets including the recently launched N8.

ESPN Goals is the first place for football fans to see video of all the goals and highlights for all Barclays Premier League matches each week over the next three seasons – within minutes of the action on the pitch*.  ESPN and Nokia will also collaborate to market its availability in the Nokia Ovi store.

ESPN Goals is available for free and gives football fans live scores and news at no cost.  Fans can upgrade to the complete video service – which provides in-match, post-match and customised video clips, including all Barclays Premier League goals – from £1.50 per month.  The ESPN Goals app is also available on other mobile platforms.

ESPN Goals features video clips of all the goals in the Barclays Premier League through in-match and post-match video clips, from every single one of the 380 Barclays Premier League matches each season. Additionally, live scores and the latest news and analysis from all the top leagues and competitions from the UK and Europe are also available.

ESPN’s growing UK mobile business complements its growing television business, where this season ESPN and ESPN HD feature live and exclusive coverage of the  Barclays Premier League, the FA Cup, Aviva Premiership Rugby, Clydesdale Bank Premier League, UEFA Europa League, Italian Serie A, the German Bundesliga, home international friendlies and UEFA European Championship qualifiers for Germany and France, the NFL’s Monday Night Football, UFC, AFL, French Top 14 rugby, DTM, and much more.

* Note:  Video clips will be available within minutes of the live action, with the exception of the protected window of time on Saturday’s between 2:45pm and 5:15pm in the UK.
