ESPN Player To Deliver LIve and On Demand Coverage of Winter X Games, Aspen

ESPN Player will deliver live and on demand coverage of the 2015 Winter X Games, Aspen in the UK and Europe as the world’s top winter sport athletes gather in Buttermilk Mountain, Aspen, Colorado. The games, being held for the 19th time, feature snowboard, ski and snowmobile events, with more than 200 competitors and more than 100 Olympians taking part.

The live action starts on ESPN Player in the early hours of Thursday 22nd January with coverage of the Women’s Ski SuperPipe Final. The first full day of competition starts on Thursday from 7pm GMT, with full coverage of events such as the Ski Slopestyle Men’s Elimination, Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe Elimination, and the Snowmobile Freestyle Final. Every event will also be available on demand, allowing fans to watch the action at a time that suits them.


The biggest names in winter sports are set to take part in the games – Sage Kotsenburg, Kelly Clark, Jamie Anderson, Joss Christensen, David Wise, Maddie Bowman and Dara Howell will all vie for X Games gold and prize money. This year British Olympic men’s skier James Woods will be hoping to add to the bronze he won in the Men’s Ski Slopestyle at the Aspen Winter X Games 2013.


Fans can watch all the Winter X Games, Aspen 2015 action live and on demand on ESPN Player. The ESPN Player X Games Week Pass will give viewers access to dedicated feeds across the five days of the event. The broadband sports service offers fans the ability to pause and rewind on-demand coverage, allowing them to scroll to any part of the action they may have missed, review a great jump with the 10-second rewind button, or return the start of the event with a single click.

Subscribers will also be able to take advantage of ESPN Player’s on-demand service to watch the action from previous X Games events.
