ESPN is the No. 1 Online Sports Property in March in Spanish-speaking Latin America

New Records for Digital Video in Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico

ESPN in Spanish-speaking Latin America ranked no. 1 in online unique visitors, while setting new records for digital video starts and mobile traffic in March.  It also reached record highs for mobile traffic and digital video in Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. Highlights:

Pan Regional:
ESPN ranked as the no. 1 sports property in Spanish-Speaking Latin America on computers with 4.2 million monthly unique visitors (source: comScore Media Metrix).  On mobile devices, ESPN.com set a new record in the region as visits grew 48 percent compared to the same month the previous year.  Additionally, 40 percent of overall digital visits to ESPN.com came from mobile devices during the month (source: Adobe Analytics).

ESPN.com also set a new record pan-regionally in digital video with 30 million video starts, reflecting a growth of 75 percent compared to March 2014 (source: Adobe Analytics).

Argentina:
March was ESPN’s best month ever in Argentina for mobile users with 289,000 unique visitors and 1.9 million page views, up 25 percent and 20 percent, respectively, compared to the previous record. ESPN also ranked as the second largest sports app property with 11,000 unique users (source: comScore Mobile Metrix).

ESPN also ranked as the no. 1 online sports site for video and video minutes consumed, leading WWE and OLE.com.ar (source: comScore Video Metrix).   (source: Adobe Analytics).

Colombia:
ESPN.com logged its best month ever in Colombia as page views and visits reached record highs of , respectively, up 19 percent and 28 percent over March 2014 (source: Adobe Analytics).

Additionally, ESPN ranked as the no. 1 sports online video property in Colombia with 5.4 million video starts and 14 million minutes, comprising of 48 percent and 40 percent of the sports category and more than WWE, AS.com, Perform Sports, Whistle Sports, Bleacher Report, 90min.com, and Marca combined (source: comScore Video Metrix).

Mexico:
ESPN ranked as Mexico’s no. 1 digital sports property during the month with 54 million page views across online and mobile, leading MedioTiempo, Record.com.mx, and MSN Sports (source: comScore Media Metrix, Mobile Metrix).

ESPN was also the leading online sports property in Mexico with 26 million page views. During the month, ESPN also reached 1.1 million unique users (source: comScore Media Metrix).

March was ESPN’s best month ever for mobile in Mexico with 1.6 million unique visitors and 24 million page views. It was the fourth consecutive month that saw more users access ESPN via mobile than online (1.6 million vs. 1.1 million). Overall, the site on smartphones ranked no. 1 in page views and no. 2 in unique visitors (source: comScore Mobile Metrix).

Additionally, ESPN ranked as the no. 1 sports online video property in Mexico with over 56 million video minutes and 26 million video starts, 54 percent and 69 percent, respectively, of the sports category and representing more than the entire sports category combined during the month (source: comScore Video Metrix).
