ESPN International Kicks Off Coverage of the 2015-2016 International Football Season

ESPN Networks in Latin America and Brazil to Air Extensive Coverage of the World’s Best Play

ESPN’s coverage of world football in Latin America and Brazil includes every top league from Europe and the Americas.  ESPN kicks off its multiplatform coverage across the region of the 2015-2016 tournaments tomorrow, Friday August 7, with the first French Ligue 1 match of the season between LOSC Lille and Paris Saint-Germain.

ESPN will carry England’s Premier League, France’s Ligue 1 and the Netherlands’ Eredivise, all beginning their seasons this weekend, along with Germany’s Bundesliga and Portugal’s Primeira Liga (August 14-16), and Spain’s La Liga and Italy’s Serie A (August 22-23).

ESPN’s coverage of the UEFA season starts with the Super Cup featuring last season’s European champions Barcelona against Sevilla, on August 11, followed by the UEFA Champions League Playoff on August 18, 19, 25 and 26, and continues with the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League Group Stage matches, beginning September 15-17.

In addition, ESPN will feature top matches from Argentina’s Primera División, Brazil’s Campeonato Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil, Mexico’s Liga MX, Copa MX and Ascenso MX, and Major League Soccer from the United States.

Every top European and Latin American league will be on multiple ESPN platforms, including Spain’s La Liga, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, England’s Premier League, the FA Cup, Capital One Cup, and The Football League; Italy’s Serie A; Germany’s Bundesliga; France’s Ligue 1; Portugal’s Primeira Liga; The Netherlands’ Eredivise; and Argentina’s Primera División, Brazil’s Campeonato Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil, Mexico’s Liga MX, Copa MX and Ascenso MX, and Major League Soccer from the United States.
