Sunday Night Baseball Analyst

World Series Champion, 14-time All-Star and three-time MVP Alex Rodriguez joined ESPN in 2018 as a Sunday Night Baseball analyst. In 2022, Rodriguez’s fifth season as an analyst, ESPN launched KayRod Cast – a special viewing presentation on ESPN2 alongside the traditional ESPN game telecast for eight of ESPN’s highest-profile Sunday Night Baseball rivalry games.

KayRod Cast is the latest in ESPN’s long, multi-platform history of special viewing presentations dating back to 2006 across its MLB, NBA, College Football, College Basketball, NFL and Little League properties, among others.

Rodriguez was selected first overall in the 1993 draft and played for the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees over his prolific 22-year career. He is a two-time Gold Glove winner and ten-time Silver Slugger. He won the World Series in 2009 with the New York Yankees.

Along with his work for ESPN, Rodriguez is the founder and CEO of A-Rod Corp, an investment firm that spans a variety of industries. He is also an analyst for FOX Sports.

A native of Miami, Rodriguez donated $3.9 million to the University of Miami baseball program for modifications to the stadium, which is named Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Miami and is an honorary alumnus of the university.
