NFL Nation Reporter: Minnesota Vikings
Ben Goessling joined ESPN in August 2013 as the Minnesota Vikings’ NFL Nation reporter. He covers the Vikings for ESPN.com, and has appeared on SportsCenter, Outside the Lines and NFL Live. He has also contributed to ESPN The Magazine.
Goessling began covering the Vikings in 2012 for the St. Paul Pioneer Press, after previously covering the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Twins for that newspaper. He won first place in the Sports Feature category in the 2013 Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists’ Page One Awards. Before his time at the Pioneer Press, Goessling covered the Washington Nationals for the Washington Times and the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network from 2008-11, and covered high school sports at the Minneapolis Star Tribune from 2005-08.
In addition to covering the Vikings for ESPN, Goessling makes regular appearances on 1500 ESPN in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He is a member of the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA).
He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2005 with majors in accounting and journalism. A native of Apple Valley, Minn., Goessling currently resides in south Minneapolis with his wife and two daughters.
