Vice President, Affiliate Sales, Disney & ESPN Media Networks
Christen Harris, vice president, affiliate sales, oversees domestic distribution for MVPDs, device manufacturers and digital accounts of the Disney and ESPN media networks (ABC, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, Freeform and ESPN Networks). In addition, Harris is responsible for the distribution of TV Everywhere applications, transaction video on demand and short form video content.
Harris was vice president, digital video distribution, overseeing all digital accounts and the distribution of Disney and ESPN media network content. Her team successfully completed distribution agreement for ESPN content with SVOD partners, Disney TV Everywhere applications on digital connected platforms and Disney and ESPN networks on the first digital MVPD distributor.
Previously, Harris served as a senior director in the digital video distribution organization. In that capacity, her organization was responsible for authenticated services of the Walt Disney Company, video on demand, iTV and broadband products as well as mobile licensing.
Harris joined ESPN in 2004 as a director of business development in the mobile group. She went on to oversee mobile licensing before moving into digital video distribution.
Prior to ESPN, Harris worked for PartMiner as Vice President of Product Development and began her career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in Dallas. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Harris is an alumnus of prestigious executive management programs including the Betsy Magness Institute, Class XXVII at the Center for Creative Leadership, Women in Sport and Events at Tuck Executive Education Center in Dartmouth and CTAMU at Harvard. She enjoys mentoring and has been a mentor in the NY board of education program at LaGuardia High School and T. Howard.
