College Football Analyst
John Congemi has served as a college football analyst for ESPN since 2000.
Congemi played in the CFL from 1987-1994 for the Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Rough Riders and Baltimore Stallions. He participated in the Grey Cup Championship in 1987 and 1994.
A four-year starting quarterback for the University of Pittsburgh, Congemi finished second all-time in passing yards behind Dan Marino, and third in total years trailing only Marino and Tony Dorsett. He led the team to the 1984 Fiesta Bowl, and won MVP honors, despite losing to Ohio State 28-23.
After retirement, Congemi returned to Florida, where he worked as a football analyst for SportsChannel Florida and Fox Sports Net Florida. He covered the Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Congemi graduated in 1986 from Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science in communications.
