Senior Vice President, Finance

Thomas Hennessy is senior vice president, finance for ESPN. In this role, he is responsible for the content budgeting for ESPN, ESPN+ and ABC Sports, the consolidation and reporting of ESPN, Inc’s P&L and cash flow projections and the budgeting of the Marketing and Administration functions at ESPN. He assumed this position in November 2020. 

Hennessy joined ESPN in 1997 as a Senior Accountant supporting ESPN’s international operations.  Hennessy moved to ESPN Finance in 1998, and has since held positions of increasing responsibility supporting FP&A, cash flow planning, and sales, marketing & overhead planning.  Hennessy was promoted to senior vice president, finance in April 2010. 

Prior to joining ESPN, Hennessy was a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen in New York from 1993 to 1996, and a senior internal auditor for ABC, Inc from 1996 to 1997.

A native of Floral Park, N.Y., Hennessy was graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1993.  He is a CPA in New York State.
