Senior Vice President, Finance
Thomas Hennessy is senior vice president, finance, for ESPN. In this role, he is responsible for the coordination and reporting of all companywide financial projections, enterprise capital and cash flow planning, and the establishment and reporting of cost budgets in ESPN’s Sales & Marketing, Technology, Administration and Human Resources departments. He assumed this position in April 2010.
Hennessy joined ESPN in May 1997 as a senior accountant, international, before moving up to senior financial analyst, international, in May 1998. In 2000, he was promoted to senior manager, international, in 2003, to senior director, international, and in June 2004 to senior director, financial planning. In December 2005, Hennessy was named vice president, financial planning.
Prior to joining ESPN, Hennessy was a senior auditor for Arthur Anderson for three years (1993 – 1996). He then moved on to ABC, Inc. where he was a senior internal auditor from May 1996 to June 1996.
A native of Floral Park, N.Y., Hennessy was graduated from SUNY Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1993. He is a CPA in New York State.
