NFL Features Reporter
Jac Collinsworth joined ESPN in August 2017 as a Sunday NFL Countdown features reporter. He offers player and coach profiles and other unique stories while also contributing to NFL Live during the offseason.
During his first year with ESPN, Collinsworth interviewed some of the biggest names in the NFL, including Matt Ryan, Von Miller, Patrick Peterson, Greg Olsen and 2017 NFL Coach of the Year Sean McVay. Collinsworth’s stories reveal the athletes’ personalities and provide an inside look at their hobbies and interests and how they interact with their teammates.
Collinsworth has hosted Sunday NFL Countdown segments and he anchored NFL Live for the first time in February 2018.
Prior to joining ESPN, Collinsworth – as a college student – created, produced and hosted a weekly ND Live digital series focused on the Notre Dame football team. For three years, he filed weekly player features for head coach Brian Kelly’s nationally-syndicated television show, Inside Notre Dame Football, and he was featured on Showtime’s A Season with Notre Dame Football, where he interviewed athletes on his weekly podcast. He also covered Notre Dame Pro Day in 2016 and 2017 for NFL Network.
While in South Bend, Collinsworth worked as an assistant sideline producer for NBC broadcasts of Notre Dame football from 2013-16, and he was a sideline reporter for NBC telecasts of the Notre Dame Blue-Gold spring football game in 2016 and 2017. Collinsworth covered the 2016 Summer Games in Rio as NBC Olympics’ first social media correspondent, interviewing athletes as a part of the Olympic Late Night with Ryan Seacrest team. During his last two years of college, Collinsworth also co-hosted a radio show, “The Student Section,” on Sirius XM.
A native of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, near Cincinnati, Collinsworth has worked in front of and behind the camera since he was in eighth grade. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May 2017 with a degree in Film, Television and Theatre. He is the son of NBC Sunday Night Football analyst and former NFL player Cris Collinsworth. His brother, Austin, is a former Notre Dame player and team captain, and his sister Ashley was captain of the Harvard University women’s track team.
