John Roethlisberger

Gymnastics Commentator

John Roethlisberger was one of the first commentators for SEC Network women’s gymnastics coverage when he joined the roster in 2014 for its debut. Throughout his tenure with the network, he has teamed up with both Alicia Sacramone Quinn and Bridget Sloan, Olympic silver medalists from the 2008 Beijing Games.

Roethlisberger started his elite gymnastics career at the University of Minnesota. During his college career, Roethlisberger won the NCAA all-around title on three separate occasions. His efforts also helped him capture the Big-Ten all-around conference title four times. During his 1993 college season, Roethlisberger surpassed the competition to become the top college gymnast by earning The Nissen Award, which is the highest recognition earned of any male collegiate gymnast.  Along with his many collegiate accomplishments, Roethlisberger added to his gymnastic resume by qualifying for the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympics Games and became a four-time US Nationals all-around champion.

Roethlisberger graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in international business.
