Vice President, Compensation, HRIS and HR Analytics
Kara Anderson is vice president, compensation, HRIS and HR analytics at ESPN where she is responsible for advancing the company’s global compensation and pay programs, HRIS and business analytics functions. Anderson also serves as a member of The Walt Disney Company’s compensation leadership team, supporting enterprise-wide initiatives. She joined ESPN in this role in June 2019 from The Walt Disney Company.
Anderson joined The Walt Disney Company in 2014 as director of executive compensation in Burbank, Calif., where she supported the overall executive compensation strategy, design, execution, administration and communication of TWDC’s management incentive and equity programs. From 2018-19, she was part of the company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International segment, providing compensation solutions for Ad Sales, Technology and International.
Anderson earned an M.B.A. in strategic management and human resources from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and a bachelor of science degree in math and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She also has a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to TWDC, she held compensation and benefits consulting roles at McLagan, Clark Consulting and AonHewitt.
