Kevin Arnovitz has covered the NBA for ESPN since 2008. His work has included stories on the mental health of top athletes, the dysfunctional front offices of NBA franchises, and a profile of Billy Kennedy, the NBA’s only openly gay referee. His 2019 feature on a Sacramento Kings executive who almost pulled off the NBA’s greatest heist was anthologized in “The Best American Sports Writing 2020.” Prior to joining ESPN, Arnovitz was an editor and producer at National Public Radio. He co-hosts “Pack Your Knives,” a “Top Chef” podcast. Arnovitz is a native of Atlanta, a graduate of Columbia University, and a resident of Los Angeles.
