Vice President, Charlotte Office and Production Management

Miranda Thorpe serves as the lead executive and culture carrier for all employees within the Charlotte office. In this role, she provides strategic support to senior leaders for cross-unit transparency, business alignment and integration, priority setting and other leadership functions, sparking collaboration between ESPN and Disney.

In addition to her role in the Charlotte office, Thorpe oversees the Production Management team, a group of nearly 40 people based across the country. The team supports content leaders as well as manages the budgets, credentials, contracts and staff assignments for more than 90 domestic and international events including the College Football Playoff, SportsCenter, College GameDay, US Open Tennis, ESPN’s NFL Draft coverage and more.

Thorpe created the Power of Women mentorship program alongside ESPN Next, with more than 30 women participating in the nine-month program. Thorpe was selected to participate in the WICT Betsy Magness and ESPN’s Next Generation Rising leaders program. Additionally, she served as a co-chair for ESPN’s PULSE ERG for two years and helps lead ESPN’s Black Sports Business Symposium.

A proud alumna of Florida A&M University where she was a standout student-athlete in track & field, Thorpe has helped lead ESPN’s efforts surrounding outreach and mentorship to students attending Historically Black Colleges & Universities, working to find the next generation of leaders at The Walt Disney Company.
