Ohm Youngmisuk is an NBA reporter for ESPN, currently covering the Southeast region with a focus on the Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, and Charlotte Hornets, while also contributing to national NBA coverage across ESPN platforms. Since joining ESPN in April 2010, he has become known for his insightful reporting, player features, and coverage of the league’s biggest moments.

Throughout his tenure, Youngmisuk has covered a wide range of assignments, from reporting on the New York Giants and contributing to ESPN New York to serving as a columnist and covering the Los Angeles Lakers, LA Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, and Washington Wizards. In addition to his NBA reporting, he has contributed to ESPN’s coverage of the US Open Tennis Championships. His ability to capture the human side of the game, through in-depth storytelling and one-on-one interviews with players like Stephen Curry and Nikola Jokić, has made him a respected voice in sports journalism.

Before joining ESPN, Youngmisuk spent more than a decade at the New York Daily News, covering the Knicks, Nets, and NFL features. Earlier in his career, he held reporting and internship roles at the Kansas City Star, Dallas Morning News, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Baltimore Sun, and Akron Beacon-Journal.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Youngmisuk earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and is an alumnus of the Sports Journalism Institute. He serves on the board of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) Sports Task Force and is a recipient of a Professional Basketball Writers Association (PBWA) writing award.
