Vice President, Digital Content and ESPN Deportes
Oscar Ramos was promoted to vice president of digital content and ESPN Deportes in June 2023. In this role, Ramos leads the development of ESPN’s digital editorial content outside the U.S. while also overseeing the ESPN Deportes business.
Ramos is responsible for driving the strategic direction of ESPN’s digital content and social media efforts outside the United States, an expansive portfolio that includes ESPN.com’s more than 20 global digital editions. Under this role, Ramos manages ESPN’s global editorial content teams across multiple languages and markets, including Europe, Africa, India, Asia, Australia, and Latin America.
In addition, Ramos is responsible for managing ESPN Deportes, ESPN’s U.S. Spanish-language brand, leading the business strategy and all digital aspects including editorial and social media. He works in close coordination with production and programming to maximize and cohesively integrate content across all ESPN Deportes platforms.
A 29-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company, Ramos has played a pivotal role in the company efforts to serve the U.S. Hispanic and international audiences across linear television, digital and radio platforms.
Ramos joined ESPN in 2006 as senior director and general manager of ESPN Deportes Radio and ESPNDeportes.com. In 2014, he expanded his responsibilities to include the content and operation of ESPN Deportes’ television and digital businesses.
Prior to joining ESPN, Ramos accumulated over fifteen years of experience in the radio industry, focusing his efforts on marketing to the U.S. Hispanic community and radio stations around the world. He joined ABC Radio Networks in 1994 as account executive and was promoted to general manager of ABC Radio International in 1999.
Ramos is a graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
