College Basketball Analyst

Sean Harrington, a former Illini basketball co-captain, joined ESPN in January 2013, and provides analysis for men’s college basketball games on ESPNU and ESPNEWS.

Harrington co-founded The Players Camp in September 2013, which connects youth players to elite college basketball teams. His previous television experience includes serving as a basketball analyst for the Big Ten Network during the 2012-13 season. Prior to that, Harrington was the director of basketball operations at his alma mater from 2009-12. His other positions in college athletics were director of basketball operations at Saint Louis University, assistant basketball coach and director of basketball athletics at Northern Illinois University, as well as basketball administrative assistant at the University of Kansas.

Harrington was a three-time Academic All-Big Ten student athlete at Illinois, finished in the top 10 all-time in school history for 3-pointers made, and a co-captain of the group that had a four-year home record of 51-2.

The Bartlett, Ill., native graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003 with a bachelor of science in advertising.
