Vice President, Sports & Fan Intelligence
Barbara Singer is vice president, sports & fan intelligence at ESPN. In this role, she leads a team focused on delving into all aspects of sports event content for ESPN’s stakeholders, ranging from ratings and traffic to fan bases, scheduling and competition. She is a key advisor to the programming and production teams working with each of our league partners. In addition, Barbara supports sports marketing with innovative measurement solutions to prove the value of advertiser sponsorships.
Singer joined ESPN in 2010 after more than 15 years at Kraft Foods in media planning and research, most recently serving as Director, Strategic Media Information. From 1985 to 1994, she worked at the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency in New York, N.Y., rising to SVP, Group Media Director. She guided clients such as Kodak, The Wall Street Journal, Warner Lambert and Nestle. In that role Barbara won numerous awards for business results and creativity in media planning.
A native of Galesburg, IL, Singer was graduated with a bachelor of science degree in advertising from the University of Illinois in 1983. She received a master’s of science degree from the school in 1984.
