Stacie McCollum is senior director, programming & acquisitions at ESPN. She oversees the programming strategy, content acquisitions, and day-to-day business operations for both Longhorn Network (LHN) and the soon-to-be launched ACC Network (ACCN), serving as the principal contact to the University of Texas and the Atlantic Coast Conference.

For ACCN, McCollum works hand-in-hand with leadership at the ACC and its member institutions to provide expert guidance and scheduling acumen as ESPN prepares for the August 22, 2019 launch of the network, part of a 20-year rights deal between ESPN and the ACC.

For LHN, McCollum is the primary liaison to the University of Texas athletic department and overall university, providing leadership and input on all cross-functional strategies and initiatives to develop programming and grow distribution and ad sales revenue.

McCollum was named director, programming & acquisitions, for LHN when it launched in 2011 and was promoted to senior director in 2015. Previously, she was director, programming and acquisitions, for ESPN overseeing management of NFL and golf across ESPN networks, platforms and businesses. Her charge included setting strategies to maximize ratings and revenue for NFL and golf content, manage relationships with internal and external partners and monitor financial goals. McCollum took on that role after three years of progressive responsibility in the programming department – associate manager, manager and senior manager – handling day-to-day duties for ESPN’s professional football, basketball, hockey and golf properties. In addition, she managed the network’s relationship with figure skating rights holders including rights negotiations with the International Skating Union and U.S. Figure Skating. McCollum joined ESPN from the NHL in 2004 where she had served as manager, TV production, since 2000. Prior to that, she worked for ESPN Regional in Charlotte, N.C., as clearance coordinator having held a programming coordinator role at CBS Sports from 1996 to 1998.

McCollum was graduated from Concordia University (Texas) with a B.A. in communications and broadcast journalism. She attended Concordia on an academic and athletic scholarship playing defensive specialist for the school’s volleyball team. Interestingly, LHN’s headquarters are located on the former grounds of her alma mater which relocated to another part of Austin, Texas.
