Soccer on ESPN Platforms: 39 Matches Including Carling Cup, German Cup, FIFA U-17 World Cup and MLS Cup Playoffs on ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes and ESPN360.com
ESPN’s platforms will have 39 international soccer matches available live beginning tomorrow through Sunday, including live coverage of four championship series — Carling Cup, German Cup, the FIFA U-17 World Cup and MLS Cup Playoffs. Coverage across seven international leagues will also be available to soccer fans on ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes and ESPN360.com, including Barclays Premier League, Spain’s La Liga, Dutch Eredivisie (Premier League), Italian Serie A, Portugal’s Liga Sagres, Football League and Mexico’s Primera División.
This week’s MLS Cup Playoffs will feature international soccer star Freddie Ljungberg and the Seattle Sounders as they host the Houston Dynamo on Thursday, Oct 29. David Beckham, Landon Donovan and the LA Galaxy look to win their semifinal match-up against C.D. Chivas USA at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA on Sunday, Nov 1. Both games will be called by ESPN’s JP Dellacamera with analyst John Harkes and reporter Allen Hopkins.
On Wednesday, Oct 28 at 3:45 p.m. ET, ESPN360.com will simultaneously have exclusive live coverage of four highly anticipated match-ups in the Carling Cup and Italian Serie A. The full schedule:
