Ten of the “athletes” from Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl VI made perhaps the most drool-worthy guest appearance on SportsNation to date, visiting ESPN on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Studio B was promptly overrun by 40 sets of paws running wild, as SportsNation‘s Michelle Beadle and guest co-host Marcellus Wiley — both avid dog lovers — welcomed the slobbering snouts with open arms. Upon the puppies arrival on the Bristol, Conn., campus, Beadle asked, “Why don’t we adopt them? All of them.”

Beadle and Wiley were joined by Puppy Bowl referee Andrew Schechter, who explained sharing the stage with 43 puppies and described the calls he inevitably makes each Puppy Bowl Sunday, including “illegal retriever downfield.”
