'SportsNation' in Training for LeBronathon

To celebrate the final game of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ regular season, SportsNation presented by Toyota debuts “The LeBronathon,” a special show Wednesday, April 14, at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2. The show will re-air Thursday, April 15, at 5 a.m. and Friday, April 16, at 12:30 a.m.

With the Cavs finishing their regular season Wednesday night in Atlanta, SportsNation that afternoon will look at LeBron’s most indelible plays, his most compelling moments and what the future holds for the Cleveland superstar. SportsNation will also feature an enormous countdown clock in Studio B that will tick down to the moment that James officially becomes a free agent. At the end of the show a world-renowned psychic will appear on set to declare where LeBron will play in 2010 and beyond.

SportsNation co-hosts Michelle Beadle and Colin Cowherd will debate the Beadle-bequeathed “Akron Hammer” nickname for LeBron, and SportsNation fans will vote on whether ESPN should start using the nickname on all highlights (John Anderson and Jalen Rose, among others, have used it while describing LeBron’s dunks). ESPN personalities including Michael Wilbon, Jon Barry, Josh Elliott, John Kruk, Hannah Storm, John Buccigross, Skip Bayless, Jalen Rose and Jay Williams will weigh in as to whether this should be the new nickname for the player often known as “King James.”

Fans can deliver their input via Twitter: @SportsNation; Facebook (ESPN-SportsNation); ESPN.com’s SportsNation web page; e-mail ([email protected]); and phone calls (1-888-FAN-ESPN) before, during and after the show.
