Janelle Monáe, Shinedown, Zac Brown Band, B.o.B and others; Switchfoot songs on Saturday Night Football on ABC

Music from top artists with Atlantic Records will be featured on ESPN’s extensive college football coverage across ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3.com beginning with the season kick off Thursday, Sept. 2.

New and currently released songs from Atlantic artists – such as Janelle Monáe, Shinedown, Zac Brown Band, B.o.B and Switchfoot — will be utilized during game and studio telecasts, including highlight montages, as the networks go to and return from breaks.

In addition, four songs from popular artist Switchfoot will be featured weekly on ABC Saturday Night Football Presented by Southwest Airlines telecasts at 8 p.m. ET, broadcast television’s only weekly college football prime-time series. Saturday Night Football telecasts will present one of the songs — The Sound (John Perkins’ Blues), Free, Needle and Haystack Life and Bullet Soul — accompanied by a video montage of Switchfoot concert footage and college football highlights. All four songs are from the latest release Hello Hurricane.
