U.S. Senior Open Opening Rounds to Air on ESPN Platforms

The 34th U.S. Senior Open Championship will test the world’s best senior golfers on a difficult new venue and play from the first two rounds will air live on ESPN2 and WatchESPN on Thursday and Friday, July 11-12, from 4-8 p.m. ET.

Omaha Country ClubOmaha (Neb.) Country Club will be hosting a USGA golf championship event for the first time and the 6,711-yard, par-70 layout features either uphill or downhill slopes on nearly every hole. Many former winners are expected to compete including Bernhard Langer, Fred Funk and Hale Irwin along with World Golf Hall of Fame players Tom Watson, Fred Couples, Nick Price and more.

Sean McDonough will anchor the U.S. Senior Open telecasts with analysis by two-time U.S. Open champions Andy North and Curtis Strange. On-course reporters Dottie Pepper and Bill Kratzert also will contribute to the telecasts.

All U.S. Senior Open programming on ESPN2 is also available on computers, smartphones, tablets, Xbox and Apple TV via WatchESPN, accessible to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliate provider including Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks, Verizon FiOS TV, Comcast Xfinity TV, Midcontinent Communications, Cablevision, Cox, Charter Communications and AT&T U-verse.
