Supercopa 2014 on ESPN Deportes

ESPN Deportes presents LIVE, exclusive multiplatform coverage of the Spanish Supercopa 2014. The anticipated two-legged Spanish matchup will feature two city rivals Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid, Tuesday, August 19 at 5 p.m. ET from Santiago Bernabéu, and Friday, August 22 at 4 p.m. ET from Vicente Calderón.


ESPN Deportes

  • Supercopa LIVE Match 8/19 – The live telecast will be led by soccer experts Jorge Ramos, Hernan Pereyra and Martin Ainstein, who will report from the field during both matches.  Andres Agulla, Tato Noriega and Manu Martin will complement the coverage with studio analysis from Bristol.

o    Fuera de Juego will provide a special one-hour postgame show.

  • Supercopa LIVE Match 8/22 – For the second leg, Ramos and Pereyra will travel to call the game onsite alongside special guest Santiago Solari, who played for both Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid in Spain.

o    Fuera de Juego will offer a 90-minute pre and postgame show produced from Madrid and Bristol.

  • Both matches will be available on ESPN Deportes via WatchESPN.

ESPN Deportes Radio

  • ESPN Deportes Radio will present live coverage of both matches complemented by a one-hour pre and postgame show for both matches.
  • Supercopa LIVE Match 8/19 will feature Marcelo Masanti (play-by-play) and Giovanni Scavia (analysis) calling the game.
  • Supercopa LIVE Match 8/22 will include Omar Orlando Salazar (play-by-play) and Leo Vega (analysis) calling the game.

  • The leading Spanish-language digital sports platform in the U.S. will provide in-depth coverage highlighted by extensive online video, real-time Gamecast application featuring live scores and stats as the matches unfold

Gaby Nuñez is manager of communications for ESPN Deportes and ESPN Latin American. She joined ESPN in October 2010 and is based in the company’s New York City offices.
