 College GameDay Nuggets:

  • This is the third time College GameDay has been to the same school twice in the first eight weeks of the season. Last year, College GameDay was in Clemson for the Georgia (win) and Florida State (loss) games and in 2007, College GameDay was at LSU twice in the first eight weeks for the Virginia Tech (win) and Florida (win) games.
  • This is the 41st regular season Top 5 matchup College GameDay has been at. Of the 34 played at a home stadium, the home teams are 18-16, but just 2-5 in the last seven.
  • Lee Corso is 6-1 in headgear picks in the last seven regular season Top 5 matchups.
  • Including bowls and conference championship games, this is the 66th Top 5 matchup College GameDay has originated from. The lower-ranked team has won four of the last six.
  • This week marks the 11th time College GameDay has been to Tallahassee for a Florida State game; FSU is just 6-4 in the previous ten. Twice Lee Corso has picked FSU’s opponent in Tallahassee – Oklahoma in 2011, Miami in 2001 – he was correct both times.
  • Lee Corso has picked Florida State 18 times. He’s 12-6 when picking the Seminoles and won the last six times.
  • Lee Corso is 7-2 in its last nine week eight headgear picks.
