The 2014 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship First Round matches from Austin will air live exclusively on Longhorn Network. Fans can also view the matches on their desktop or mobile devices via WatchESPN.

Coverage will begin Thursday, Dec. 4, with the matchup between Arizona State and Texas A&M at 4:30 p.m. Next up, Northwestern State meets number 2 overall seed, The University of Texas at 7 p.m. If Texas wins its first round match, LHN will also televise the Second Round match live Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m.

Paul Sunderland will provide play-by-play for LHN, and Nell Fortner will serve as analyst. Sunderland was the voice of NBC’s volleyball coverage at the 2012 Olympic Games, and Fortner is a former University of Texas volleyball and basketball player and current analyst for volleyball and women’s basketball coverage on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network and LHN.

The University of Texas is one of 16 host sites and is seeded second overall in the 64 team field. Last season, Texas advanced to the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Championship Semifinals, falling to Wisconsin. In 2012, the Longhorns won the National Championship.

LHN has televised fifteen regular-season women’s volleyball matches this year and has covered the UT squad extensively in news and information programming, including long form features, press conferences, analysis and interviews.
