World of X Games’ Video Premiere Show to Debut Three Original Athlete Video Parts

Nyjah Huston, Sage Kotsenburg and John Florence to Debut Original Content on ABC
For the first time ever, ESPN will collaborate with skateboarder Nyjah Huston, snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg and surfer John John Florence to produce original video parts, which will debut on World of X Games’ Video Premiere Show, airing on Dec. 27 at 2:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
Produced by Monster Energy, the three video parts will focus on each rider and their unique styles and stories. Kotsenburg’s video part will take viewers along for all the madness and excitement of his Cinderella-style journey to 2014 Winter Olympic gold. Huston will show off his dominant, technical riding while giving viewers a peek into every skateboarder’s dream, his own personal skate park. Filmed on the road where he won the Quicksilver Pro France, Florence’s part will feature his first 540 caught on film.
Now with nine total X Games medals and two Street League Skateboarding championships, Nyjah Huston has already solidified his reputation as one of the best contest street skaters in history. However, Huston really turned heads with his original video parts including, “Rise & Shine” (TWS’ 2012 Best Video Part), an X Games Real Street gold in 2012 and “Fade to Black” which dropped in 2013.

A two-time X Games medalist, Kotsenburg recently made headlines by winning the first Olympic gold medal of the 2014 Sochi Winter Games and the first-ever Snowboard Slopestyle Olympic gold medal. After landing on countless late night couches, Kotsenburg spent the rest of the 2014 season filming in the backcountry for Nike’s “Emergence”.

Currently ranked 4th on WCT, John John Florence began turning heads on the North Shore when he was just eight years old. The youngest competitor to surf the Triple Crown of Surfing at age 13, he has since won that title twice as the youngest winner in event history. Florence earned the 2012 ASP Rookie of the Year honor and clinched a Volcom Pipe Pro three-peat in 2013.
