SEC Network Adds WIRED Coaches Segments to Gymnastics Meets

On Friday, January 15, gymnastics returns to SEC Network with seven consecutive weeks of live primetime doubleheaders in the network’s newly branded “Friday Night Heights” series. In addition to a new name, the network’s coverage of the sport will include the mic-ing of Southeastern Conference head coaches, both home and away, at meets throughout the year.

“WIRED” segments will debut on Friday at 7 p.m. with visiting Missouri Head Coach Shannon Welker and Alabama Head Coach Dana Duckworth at home. The Missouri at Alabama meet will be immediately followed by Georgia at Arkansas, also featuring WIRED segments with Head Coach Danna Durante and Head Coach Mark Cook.

SEC Network televised 10 meets live for the first time last season, and is expanding live coverage in 2016 to 15 meets.  In total, ESPN networks will carry 22 meets, with all-22 streaming live on WatchESPN.

The full SEC Gymnastics television schedule, previously announced, is available here.
