***Tune-In Alert*** World of X Games August 2016 Lineup
The World of X Games series on ABC will feature weekly action sports content throughout the month of August, including live event coverage of the KRob Flips Providence event on August 13. The August lineup will also feature a World Surf League stop, FMX rider Jackson Strong’s Headstrong 2 and the second edition of ESPN’s video-only competition, Real Moto.
WSL Surfing Stop #6 J-Bay Open
Airs: 8/6 at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT on ABC
One year after a harrowing shark attack at J-Bay, Mick Fanning returned to the world-class surf spot to claim victory at the sixth stop of the World Surf League Championship Tour. Fanning defeated John John Florence in an exciting final in three-to-four foot surf. The second-place finish for Florence moves him into second place on the Jeep leaderboard for the first time in his career.
KRob Flips Providence Live Event

Reair: 8/14 at 4 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT on ABC
Four-time X Games BMX gold medalist Kevin Robinson will come out of his 2013 retirement to attempt to break another BMX World Record in the city where X Games began in 1995. In this first World Record attempt of a no handed backflip on a BMX bike, Robinson will reach speeds of 50 miles per hour in his attempt to soar at least 100 feet.
Jackson Strong’s Headstrong 2
Airs: 8/14 at 4:30 p.m. ET / 3:30 p.m. PT on ABC
Follow three-time X Games gold medalist Jackson ‘Jacko’ Strong as he takes viewers on a journey into his extraordinary world. From building and freeriding the most insane FMX courses in the Australian outback to hospitals and helicopter flights on his way to X Games gold in Austin, Texas.
Real Moto presented by Hot Pockets
Airs: 8/20 at 2 p.m. ET on ABC
Part of the Real Series video-only competition, Real Moto will feature six of the world’s best Freestyle Motocross riders premiering 90-second video parts. Each athlete will have the opportunity to team with an editor on the production of a video part that will present that rider in their own unique style. Each Real Series competition culminates in a one-hour World of X Games show that will feature behind-the-scenes footage, athlete interviews and selection of the medalists.
