ESPN College GameDay Basketball Makes First-Time Visit to Saint Mary’s

Gaels to face top-ranked Gonzaga in Saturday Primetime game

ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm will make a first-time visit to McKeon Pavilion on the campus of Saint Mary’s in Moraga, Calif., on Saturday, Feb. 11, as part of the network’s Rivalry Week presented by Wendy’s programming. Originating from the site of the Saturday Primetime presented by AT&T matchup, showcasing No. 18 Saint Mary’s vs. No. 1 Gonzaga (ESPN, 8:15 p.m. ET), College GameDay airs at 11 a.m. with an evening edition leading into the game telecast at 8 p.m.

College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams. Bilas will join Dan Shulman and reporter Maria Taylor on the call of the game.

The times for the previously announced netflex matchups are Kansas State at No. 7 West Virginia (Noon, ESPN), Texas A&M at No. 24 Florida (Noon, ESPN2), No. 3 Kansas at Texas Tech (2 p.m., ESPN), Miami at No. 6 Louisville (2 p.m., ESPN2), Ohio State at No. 17 Maryland (4 p.m., ESPN), Texas at Oklahoma State (4 p.m., ESPN2), No. 15 Florida State at No. 20 Notre Dame (6 p.m., ESPN) and Cal at No. 5 Arizona (10 p.m., ESPN2).

GameDay Facts:

  • First time GameDay has been to the Gonzaga-Saint Mary’s matchup
  • Fifth GameDay appearance for Gonzaga
  • Assuming Gonzaga remains No. 1, it would be the 10th GameDay appearance by a top-ranked team (5-4 in previous nine)
  • Each of last three teams hosting GameDay for the first time won (Texas A&M, Wichita State, and SMU)

Also during Rivalry Week, College GameDay will visit the No. 12 North Carolina at No. 21 Duke (8 p.m., ESPN / ESPN3 Surround / ESPN3 in Spanish) on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m. from Cameron Indoor Stadium.

College GameDay’s location will be announced the previous week during the 11 a.m. telecast, ensuring visits to the top storylines and games appearing on ESPN networks each week.
