Longhorn Network Honored with Four Lone Star EMMYs

For the sixth straight year, Longhorn Network, ESPN’S 24-hour network devoted to The University of Texas, has received recognition from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences – Lone Star Chapter, winning four awards and earning seven nominations.

The network has won EMMYs every year for which it has been eligible, since its launch in 2011, bringing its total to 24 EMMYs won.

Winners were announced at the 15th Annual Lone Star EMMY Awards Gala on November 11, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas. The Lone Star Chapter is the largest state chapter in the country, recognizing the most experienced and talented television professionals from Texas’ 19 television markets.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Lone Star Chapter of NATAS with seven nominations, and honored to win four Lone Star EMMYs for our programming,” said Tom McCollum, ESPN Senior Coordinating Producer. “While there are specific names attached to each trophy, every piece of content we produce is a team effort and speaks highly to the dedicated and talented team we have at Longhorn Network.”
