ESPN+ to Provide Extensive Coverage of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Highlights Include: An Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Series, Expert Studio Analysis & On-Demand Replays of Every Game

The puck drops on the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Wednesday, April 10, and ESPN+ will provide extensive coverage as the NHL’s 16 best teams battle for hockey’s top prize – the Stanley Cup. With an ESPN+ subscription, NHL fans will have unlimited access to an exclusive behind-the-scenes series, expert post-game analysis and on-demand replays of every game following the final buzzer in addition to the complete, expansive library of live and on-demand programming available on ESPN+ (see below).

Quest for the Stanley Cup, the 2019 Sports Emmy Award-nominated, behind-the-scenes documentary series chronicling the final eight teams as they compete in the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, will premiere on Friday, May 3, exclusively on ESPN+. Returning for its second season on ESPN+, the series will take fans on the ice, in locker rooms, inside the minds of the players and coaches and everywhere in between providing an all-access pass during the quest for the most storied trophy in sports. Beginning next month, episodes will be available each Friday through the end of the Stanley Cup Final.

The weekly series will be produced by Ross Greenburg Productions in association with NHL Original Productions. Emmy and Tony Award-nominated actor Bill Camp will narrate the series. More details and early-access clips will be released soon.

NHL experts and co-hosts Linda Cohn and Barry Melrose will provide viewers with need-to-know analysis and comprehensive highlights of every playoff game on In the Crease. The show will also include interviews with the top players and coaches from around the league and other guest appearances. A new on-demand episode will post each morning after a game night. In the Crease on ESPN+, which has provided coverage throughout the entire 2018-19 regular season, returns for its second playoff run beginning Wednesday.

All games will be available for immediate and on-demand replays on ESPN+ following the completion of each matchup. Additional coverage of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs will be available across ESPN’s platforms including insight and analysis from the sport’s top writers on ESPN.com and throughout daily studio shows including SportsCenter and more.
