ESPN And ABC To Telecast Four Game 3’s And One Game 4 Of The NBA Conference Semifinals This Week

This week’s ESPN and ABC NBA Playoff slate tips off on Thursday, May 2 at 8 p.m. ET, when Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers host Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors for Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series. Mike Breen will call the action with analysts Mark Jackson and Jeff Van Gundy, and reporter Lisa Salters.
ESPN’s semifinals coverage continues on Friday at 8 p.m. with Game 3 of the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks matchup. Mark Jones will call the game from Boston with analyst Hubie Brown and reporter Cassidy Hubbarth. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., ESPN Radio will broadcast the matchup with play-by-play commentator Marc Kestecher and analyst PJ Carlesimo. In the second half of Friday’s ESPN doubleheader, the Denver Nuggets, led by Nikola Jokić, visit the Portland Trail Blazers, led by Damian Lillard for Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinals series. Dave Pasch will call the action with analyst Doris Burke and reporter Tom Rinaldi beginning at 10:30 p.m.
Saturday’s primetime ABC broadcast tips off at 8:30 p.m. in Houston when the back-to-back champion Golden State Warriors visit reigning MVP James Harden and the Houston Rockets for Game 3 of their playoff series. Mike Breen will be courtside with Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy and Lisa Salters. Play-by-play commentator Sean Kelley and analyst Jon Barry will call the action for ESPN Radio beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Joel Embiid and Kawhi Leonard meet again on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. for Game 4 of the Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers series. The matchup will air on ABC with Mark Jones, Hubie Brown, and Israel Gutierrez calling the game from Wells Fargo arena. ESPN Radio will broadcast the game with Marc Kestecher and PJ Carlesimo beginning at 3 p.m.
ESPN officiating expert, Steve Javie, will provide analysis from the NBA Replay Center in Secaucus, N.J. for all five telecasts.
NBA Countdown will precede game coverage and give half-time reports for all five games with host Michelle Beadle, alongside analysts Chauncey Billups, Paul Pierce and Jalen Rose.
The Jump, ESPN’s hour-long NBA news and discussion show, airs at 3 p.m. weekly with host Rachel Nichols featuring a cast of high-profile analysts, reporters and guests.
