Danielle Lawrie is a college softball and Little League Softball analyst across ESPN networks platforms covering the sport at multiple levels of competition. Lawrie joined ESPN in May 2015. She is one of the most decorated players in collegiate softball history to work as an analyst.
Lawrie came to ESPN following a distinguished playing career that spanned the collegiate and international stages. At the University of Washington, she established herself as one of the premier pitchers, earning USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year twice during her time with the Huskies. She was a central figure on the Washington squad that captured the National Championship in 2009. Her excellence on the mound was further recognized with two Honda Awards, presented annually to the top female athletes in collegiate sports. She is also a member of the 7Innings Alt-Cast team for the Women’s College World Series.
On the international stage, Lawrie represented Team Canada in 2008 and 2020, earning a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games.
