Ron Slay has been a basketball game and studio analyst for SEC Network since January 2023. In his role, Slay provides in-game analysis and studio insight drawing on his extensive playing experience.
Slay played at the University of Tennessee from 1999-2003, where he earned SEC Player of the Year and was named a Third Team All-American. His standout performance at Tennessee laid the foundation for his professional career and established his credentials as one of the premier players in SEC history.
Slay competed professionally overseas from 2003 to 2016, playing across Israel, Venezuela, Italy, Spain, and Puerto Rico. He also played a season for the Asheville Altitude of the NBDL, where he was named second team all-league. His professional career spanned more than a decade and established him as a seasoned veteran of international basketball.
