New for 2026, ESPN has maintained a full on-site studio presence throughout the Little League Baseball World Series, providing analysis, highlights and coverage between games while connecting action from both Lamade and Volunteer Stadiums.
Located beyond the outfield at Lamade Stadium, the set overlooks the entire Little League complex and has served as a hub for coverage throughout the tournament. After Lowell Galindo anchored studio coverage during the tournament’s opening week, Kevin Connors has hosted ESPN’s on-site studio coverage throughout Championship Week.
“The energy at the Little League World Series is unlike any other in sports: fun, spirited, genuine,” Connors said. “So, to be a part of it, documenting the action inside Lamade and on the hill, where a sea of kids spend the day squeezing the last drops out of summer, it’s been incredible.”
For Connors, being immersed in the Williamsport environment has provided a perspective impossible to replicate from afar.
The expanded studio effort is part of ESPN’s continued investment in Little League coverage. In addition to the on-site studio presence, this year’s production includes additional super slow-motion cameras at both stadiums and the return of a rail camera beyond the outfield wall at Lamade Stadium.
Being on site has also helped the studio team tell stories unfolding across the complex, from championship pursuits on the field to the experiences shared by players and families from around the world.
“There’s absolutely nothing like being there,” Connors said. “Being here has enabled our studio crew to absorb the action beyond the screen. Witnessing the flavor inside Volunteer Stadium has helped us convey the story of the boys from Japan and Czechia and Nicaragua. Feeling the energy inside Lamade Stadium from the boys and girls from Phenix City and Henderson has allowed us to grasp the enormity of making it here. It’s something that’s impossible to capture from inside a studio.”
Connors believes the expanded presence reflects the significance of an event that ESPN has elevated over the years.
“Full on-site presence throughout the tournament has truly legitimized this event,” Connors said. “I’ve been fortunate to cover major college football and college basketball games, MLB All-Star Games and World Series, and we’ve documented this event with the same level of people power and professionalism. It’s been inspiring to witness the passion everyone working this event has shown, ESPN through and through.”
Championship Weekend begins Saturday, Aug. 29, with the International Championship Game at 12:30 p.m. ET on ABC and the United States Championship Game at 3:30 p.m. on ABC. Coverage concludes Sunday, Aug. 30, with the Consolation Game at 10 a.m. on ESPN before the Little League Baseball World Series Championship Game airs at 3 p.m. on ABC.
